Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our FAQ section where we address some common questions about our mobile sauna and cold plunge services. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us for more information.

Booking & Setup

How far in advance should I book the mobile sauna?

We recommend booking 2-4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and time, especially for weekend rentals. For larger events or holidays, please book even earlier!

What is required at my location to set up the sauna?

  • Level Ground: A flat, stable surface (driveway, patio, or grassy area) large enough for our trailer.

  • Access: Clear access to back the trailer into the setup spot.

  • Water: Access to an outdoor water source is essential for the cold plunge setup.

How long does the setup and takedown process take?

Setup and heating takes about 60 minutes. Our team will arrive, position the trailer, and get the sauna warmed up before your booking time starts. Takedown is quick, usually about 30 minutes.

How many people can be in the sauna at once?

Our mobile sauna is designed to comfortably accommodate 6-8 adults at one time, with space for up to 10 adults.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver within a 20 mile radius of Asheville, NC. Each additional mile outside of the radius is $1.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. Our policy balances flexibility for you with the scheduling demands of our mobile unit:

  • 3 Weeks or More in Advance: You will receive a full refund.

  • 2 Weeks to 7 Days Before Your Event: You have two options:

    1. Receive a 50% refund of your total booking cost.

    2. Re-schedule your rental date free of charge.

  • 1 Week (7 Days) or Less Before Your Event: The booking becomes non-refundable.

  • New Bookings: Any rental booked within the two-week timeframe is immediately subject to the terms above.

The Experience

What should I wear?

We recommend a swimsuit or light athletic wear. We will provide towels to sit on in the sauna for hygiene, and towels to dry off after your plunge.

What is the sauna and cold plunge cycle?

  1. Rinse: Shower off before starting the cycle.

  2. Sauna: 10–15 minutes.

  3. Rinse: Shower off after the sauna.

  4. Cold Plunge: 1–3 minutes.

  5. Rest: 5–10 minutes to allow your body to stabilize. Repeat the cycle 2-3 times, listening to your body.

What is the ideal temperature for the sauna?

We aim for a traditional Finnish experience, which is typically between 180°F and 200°F. You are in control of the heat and can adjust it using the electric heater controls provided.

Safety & Health

Is the sauna safe for everyone?

If any of the below concerns apply to you, or if you have any questions, please consult your doctor before using the sauna or cold plunge.

  1. Underlying medical conditions

  2. Heart conditions, lung conditions, or high/low blood pressure

  3. Feeling generally sick

  4. Pregnant

  5. Recent tattoo or surgery

How is the sauna and cold plunge cleaned between rentals?

We take hygiene very seriously. Our cleaning protocol ensures a fresh and sanitized experience every time:

  • Sauna Deep Clean: After every rental, the entire sauna interior is cleaned and treated with a non-toxic, commercial-grade disinfectant specifically designed for wood and high-heat environments.

  • Cold Plunge Filtration: The cold plunge water changed between each use, and the cold plunge is cleaned between each rental.

  • Your Role: We require all guests to sit on a towel while using the sauna and shower or rinse before entering the cold plunge to maintain a hygienic experience for everyone.

Can we have food or drinks in the sauna?

Please avoid bringing any food or glass containers into the sauna area. For hydration, only water in a non-glass container is permitted. Absolutely no alcohol should be consumed before or during your sauna/plunge session, as it can cause dehydration and impair your ability to safely tolerate the temperature extremes.

Can children or minors use the sauna and cold plunge?

For safety and insurance reasons, no one under the age of 18 is permitted to use the sauna or the cold plunge. Both systems involve significant temperature extremes that can be dangerous for minors whose bodies are less able to regulate temperature. All users must be 18 years of age or older.

Site Preparation Instructions: What Should We Know?

The passageway and site need to be spacious enough for Owner to navigate the tow vehicle and equipment trailer to the installation site and to exit with the tow vehicle from the site after installation is complete. The sauna trailer alone measures twenty (20) feet in length (including the tow tongue), eight (8) feet in width and fourteen-and-one-half (14 ½) feet in height after set-up. The passageway at all points must measure, at minimum, ten (10) feet in width (more if turns exist in the passageway) and twelve (12) feet in height. An additional four (4) feet are required for set-up in back of the trailer to accommodate a step stand for access to the sauna entrance. Adequate parking space for the trailer must be provided by Renter. Further, enough space to turn the tow vehicle and trailer around must be provided in most instances (an exception would be delivery to, e.g., a circular driveway.)

The installation site must be level solid ground in all weather conditions, and free of snow and ice during delivery.

All passageways to the installation site must be solid ground in all weather conditions and free of snow and ice during delivery and retrieval. If Renter fails to provide such conditions during Sauna retrieval, Owner retains the right to retain part or all of Renter’s security deposit for any delays incurred in the retrieval process. Further, Renter agrees to immediately correct the conditions by whatever means necessary. If Renter is unable or unwilling to do so, Renter hereby explicitly agrees to authorize Owner to correct the conditions by any means necessary including the hiring of third-party contractors and Renter agrees to bear any cost involved in such correction of conditions.

Access to an outdoor water source is required for filling the cold plunge. When the cold plunge is not treated with chemicals, Renter permits, warrants, and holds harmless the deposit of used water on site.

Access to an electrical hook-up may be required for the Sauna in the course of its normal operations. The Sauna is designed to be off-grid capable, but Owner cannot guarantee this capability is always functional, available, or may be affected by weather and length of use.

Tree branches or other combustibles must not exists within twenty (20) feet of the installation site.
